SOCK HOP!!!!!

Kindergarten students who earned all of their happy faces for the month of August (must have an E or S+ average) participated in the Sock Hop on Friday. :)  Congratulations!  Keep up the good behavior!!!

Color Activities

Students are learning about how primary colors can make secondary and teritary colors when mixed together.
Students work in a color mixing lab to perform color mixing experiments.  They observe and record their data just like scientists! :)

Students learned that white light is made up of all the colors of the rainbow.  They learned that they can split the light using special instruments called prisms.

First Day of School 2013-14!





Students listened to the story, The Monster Who Came to School, and discussed class rules.  They painted and decorated their monsters.  Students decided to help the monster learn the class rules so he can stay at school! :)  Ask your little one about the story. :)





Everyone decorated a cookie to celebrate how happy we feel when we follow the rules and get happy faces in our folders! :)

Leprechaun Traps

To celebrate St Patrick's Day, students were able to make "Leprechaun Traps".

They turned out great!  Good job students & parents!! :)

Mini King Cakes!

Students made mini king cakes to culminate our study of Louisiana.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR SEUSS!!!!

Today was "Read Across America Day".  It's the day that we celebrate Dr Seuss' birthday.  The children wore hats, and we had two special guests.  The Cat in the Hat (Mrs. Jackson) came to read "Green Eggs and Ham" to us and Chef Mike came and made green eggs and ham for us! :)  Thank You Chef Mike & Mrs. Jackson for making our day wonderful!! :)
